Auchenflower landscape design

As owners of this Auchenflower home had a relatively traditional design request, landscape design elements of sandstone and timber decking is featured throughout this project.

The pool is used regularly by the client’s grandchildren, and within the pool design, shady and safe observation areas were requested.  Sandstone plinths add a dramatic feature, but double as a conversation and observation area to the pool.

Shade sails have colours that complement the reflected water and sandstone that draws elements from the design.

Shade and drought tolerant plants such as Philadendron ‘Rojo Congo’ and Philadendron ‘Congo’ were chosen due the the shady southern aspect of the site.  They have lush strappy leaves with contrasting colours of green and pink / purple tinges.
