Contempory landscape design in Toowong

The new home in Toowong,  called for a strong contempory landscape design – sharp lines and contrasting materials to match the build.

As it was a new building, there were Council restrictions for the front fence, but the clients still requested privacy at their front entrance.  With a clever timber design, both requirements were met.

In the rear yard, an existing pool needed renovation and a entertainment space near the pool was created.  An interesting geometric design feature was created with pavers and shade sails (still to be implemented) offer dappled shade to the pool and entertainment area.

The clients requested a large turf area for children play.  This turf area doubles as a sheet water flow course for large volumes of storm water from neighbouring properties.

Plants were carefully selected to encapsulate a Brisbane/subtropic flavour, coupled with water sensitivity demands.  Fragrant plants were selected by the deck and entertaining pad and screening plants chosen by the boundary fence.

The design achieves a relaxed area for family play and entertaining with strong design elements to integrate with the clients new home.
